Manor Farm Ellingham. The farmer was Jim Chapman 1960s

This was Station Farm in 1967. The family of Cherry Griffin bough it in 1960. They had just come back from farming in New Zealand. The house was built in 1735 and had a Victorian wing at the right end. It had five bedrooms. There was a two seater outside toilet but a bathroom was soon installed.  Cherry was 16 when they moved and she refused to go back to school; instead she  got a dairy herd. Cherry's father  used to hang pheasants to ripen in the unused rooms. (Cherry Griffin)
